Alaskan artist Sandra Greba built a name for herself through her stunningly realistic watercolors featuring native flowers and avian life. We carry her full selection of limited edition prints, and also have several original watercolors on display in our store at any given time. With the talent and emotion Sandra puts into her work, she is quickly becoming one of Alaska’s premier artists.
Sandra was born in the kitchen of quarters #5, Gulkana airfield, Alaska. She spent her early childhood in the rural parts of the state; in places like Kotzebue and Aniak. She then moved to Oklahoma City where she completed her schooling and worked as a florist and bridal consultant. Sandra returned to Alaska in 1980 and currently resides in Sitka where she paints and operates a Bed and Breakfast named after her daughter, Hannah.
Recognized for her botanical accuracy, she is a self-taught artist who strives to capture the intricate details and fragile beauty inherent in her subject matter.
“There is such a wonderful order and endless variety in God’s creation. Living in Southeast Alaska has provided me with years of inspiration and it is my hope that my work reflects my love of its natural beauty.”
