Our July 2020 featured artist is Nathalie Parenteau! Enjoy an exhibit of her contemporary art. Nathalie's art features nature and landscapes of the Northwest, in a unique style with bright colors and bold lines.
Born in Montréal, Nathalie has retained the dramatic artistic tradition of the French Canadian culture. Emerging from a family background which cherished the arts, she found her artistic path at an early age. A love of nature and solitude also provided the fertile breeding ground for a rich and varied painting career. She arrived to this station after several detours which include volunteering with a youth group, living in the Yukon wilderness, earning a degree in biology, and traveling the globe. She now lives in Whitehorse, Yukon, where she works as a professional artist.
Nathalie's style is easily recognizable and is collected by people from all over the world. She works both in acrylics and oils and is known for her sensitive representation of the subject in its environment.
Bold colors and crisp lines typify Nathalie's art. Wildlife and people are common themes, and paintings reflect the spirit and unique energy of the far north with it's long summer days and long winter nights. Nathalie's work is available in limited-edition giclee prints and giclee on canvas prints, as well as affordable open-edition prints. For July, enjoy a full selection of her work including some recent new release prints!
The exhibition will open on Friday, July, beginning at 4:30 pm. Now that Annie Kaill's is open, we'll offer limited in-person viewing, but we don't want crowds so we'll also host a "virtual First Friday." New work will be posted on our Facebook and Instagram and then online.
