It's time for the official Grand Opening of our new location! Annie Kaill's is now located at 124 Seward Street - just up the street from Heritage Coffee and across the street from The Rookery and Shoefly.
The new space is custom renovated, and offers more room for back stock and new items and services including (coming soon!) framing!
Annie Kaill's will be hosting a big Grand Opening party on First Friday to celebrate! In addition, enjoy work from our three May featured artists: Constance Baltuck, Abby Focht, and Louise Kuntz-Tadda!
Constance Baltuck is a Juneau artist and longtime friend of the store.
Her work is colorful and sometimes fanciful, and inspired by the landscape and energy of Southeast Alaska. Constance's work has not been reproduced in prints; all her paintings are original and unique works of art. For the May exhibition, Constance will have nine or ten new paintings, all completed in her new studio in the last six months. These paintings are inspired by colors, patterns, and light in nature.
Abby Focht is a local jewelry designer and artist. Abby has been creating jewelry since she was a kid, using beads as a hobby to make earrings, bracelets, necklaces and the like, for friends and family members using different beading techniques and styles. Over the years she has refined her craft, and now
Abby's line of jewelry is called "Swallows Journey" and offers hand made earrings, rings, necklaces, and more. For her May collection, Abby has made some necklaces and earrings, plus lots and lots or unique rings!
Louise Kuntz-Tadda is a Juneau-based pottery artist. She creates classically inspired, handmade pottery designs. Each piece is a meticulously hand crafted original work of art - this is not production pottery! Louise is finishing a collection for her exhibition that will include teapots, berry bowls, batter bowls, yarn bowls, mugs and more. Just in time for Mother's Day!
Our Seward Street Grand Opening, and the opening reception for our guest artists, will take place on Friday, May 3, beginning at 4:30 pm. Work from our featured artists will be on display all month long.
