Annie Kaill's has another big month in store, again with four guest artists. This month, we're having our "Fabulous Finds for You and Your Home" show.
Our headline artist this month is the one and only Barbara Lavallee. Barbara is one of Alaska's best-known artists and illustrators, known for her stylized depictions of Alaskans in everyday activities. Her work is fun, uplifting, and distinctly Alaskan. This month, we'll be featuring Barbara's prints, originals, illustrated books, and calendars. Join us at the First Friday show opening for personalized prints, calendars, and books ~ these make great holiday gifts!
Joining Barbara in the art department, will be the former head of the art department (at the University that is), Juneau's own Alice Tersteeg. Alice is talented and well-known local artist whose recent work has been primarily in watercolor. We'll be featuring her latest collection of original work with spans a variety of subject matter, including ravens, native artifacts, and everyday objects.
On the comfy side, we have Willow Whitton. Willow is a local artist who makes a variety of knitted items, including scarves, hats, shawls, etc. She uses the highest quality yarns with a great attention to detail and her wares are both beautiful and comfy! We'll have an expanded selection of her work so that you can pick out that new hat or scarf for the winter season.
Our fourth featured artist is Heather Nashelle. Originally from Juneau, Heather has turned her jewelry business, Nashelle Designs, into a trendy, nationally recognized brand, and she's regularly featured in the top style magazines and shops. But Juneau is still "home" and she loves to return and show her work. We'll have her latest work on hand including of course the ever-popular Identity charm necklaces and Alaska state charms / pendants.
Our "Fabulous Finds" show will be on display throughout the month of November. Join us for a Fabulous First Friday opening reception and meet the artists on First Friday, November 3, beginning at 4:30 pm.
