First Friday: Lynda Giguere & Aleph Designs

Annie Kaill's is excited to announce our two guest artists for the month of October. We hope you can join us for the show opening on First Friday, or anytime this month to view their amazing work!

Lynda Giguere Lynda Giguere is excited for her first show at Annie Kaill's. Lynda is an artist who feels driven to push herself personally and explore new mediums, and oil paint is her latest passion. Her original paintings depict Alaskan landscapes and wildlife, and she describes her show as "original oil paintings inspired by Alaska." Annie Kaill's will have a collection of her work on display, including paintings of ravens, gulls, musk ox, and mountains.

Aleph Designs Also, artisan Reid Harris will be showing a collection of his custom wood furnishings at Annie Kaill's this month. Through his company Aleph Designs, Reid offers hand crafted woodwork using locally source wood. Each piece is crafted using environmentally friendly methods and is a unique piece of art. At the show, Reid will have 2-3 small coffee tables as well as an assortment of mirrors.

Work from our two guest artists will be featured throughout the month of October. Join us for the opening on First Friday, October 5, from 4:30 to 7:00 pm to meet the artists, and to enjoy the best selection.

Thank you JuneauTime to brag! The results of the Juneau Empire Reader's Choice Awards are in! This is the annual survey where Juneau votes on the best of everything from pizza parlors to gift shops. We're excited to announce that Annie Kaill's has again been voted the #1 Art Gallery in Juneau - so thank you Juneau! In addition, this year we've also been honored as the #1 Jewelry Store in Juneau! Wild by Nature (shown here) is a new line from a Juneau artist that uses salmon skin and other natural materials - very beautiful and cool. And we've brought back Seattle Raindrop Jewelry which features a ton of great stacking rings, super cool earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and more.

We're expecting an order of new linens and kids wear that should come early this month from IMPWear. They are made in Seattle and are fabric with a waterproof material mixed in. We love them and think you will too! Also coming in is a new shipment of April Cornell - new styles for fall and the start of the holidays.
