Janet Briggs - Sockeye Salmon & Rainbow Trout Coasters
Janet Briggs grew up in the Pacific Northwest and has lived in
North Idaho since 1983. Janet is a largely self-taught artist. Many of her paintings are inspired by the rich history and incredible scenery of Alaska, where she works as a flight attendant, traveling throughout the Last Frontier. Her favorite subjects are the various things that call to mind life in the past, and that make up the fabric of everyday life in the present.
Working as a flight attendant affords Janet the opportunity to experience different cultures and lifestyles, which she tries to capture in her paintings. Her favorite mediums include watercolor, and acrylic on canvas and tile.
