Downtown Juneau hosts an art walk on the First Friday of each month. From 4:30-close on the First Friday, visit the shops and galleries of Downtown Juneau. Snacks, socializing, and meeting artists in person highlight these evenings.

Julie Pigott and Elgin Fremlin - April Featured Artists
Our featured artists for April 2017 are Julie Pigott and Elgin Fremlin.
Julie Pigott is a folk artist and former Juneauite who came back to town for the Alaska Folk Festival. She creates original mixed media sculptures, and also brought a collection of whimsical original paintings.
Elgin Fremlin is a local glass artist, and we're enjoying this opportunity to introduce his art to the community! We are showing a collection of his glass work, including pendants, marbles, and UV-activated items.

Heather Nashelle and Frank Lynn Pierce - May First Friday - May 5, 2017
For the month of May, we'll be featuring a brother-sister duo of talented artists.
Heather Nashelle is the founder of Nashelle jewelry. Nashelle is a nationally distributed line of high-quality, hand-crafted jewelry that embodies current trends and bohemian style. All this started in Heather's living room here in Juneau! She will be back in town for a trunk show with an expanded collection of her work.
Frank Lynn Pierce is an award-winning Juneau photographer. His subject matter includes nature and landscapes, and his gorgeous prints come printed on metal and ready to hang. Enjoy an expanded selection of Frank's work as well as new images!

Pia Reilly and Janine Gibbons - June First Friday - June 2, 2017
Our featured artists for June 2017 will be Pia Reilly and Janine Gibbons.
Enjoy a collection of Pia's colorful paintings of flowers, trees, and other scenes. Pia will be bringing new original artwork as well as a selection of prints.

Our featured artists July 2017 will be Northwest artist Nathalie Parenteau, and photographer Peter von Gaza.
Nathalie Parenteau is one of the premier artists currently working in the Pacific Northwest, and an Annie Kaill's bestseller. Nathalie's modern interpretation of northwest wildlife and scenes has attracted a following from collectors worldwide. Join us this month for an expanded selection of Nathalie's prints and canvas reproductions.
Peter von Gaza is is a fine art photographer from Whitehorse, Yukon. His photography is primarily black and white landscape photography of mountains. More information about Peter coming soon!

Barbara Lavallee - November First Friday - November 3, 2017
Our featured artist for November 2017 will be Alaskan artist, Barbara Lavallee. Barbara is one of the state's best-known artists, known for her stylized and whimsical depictions of Alaskans in everyday scenes. She is also the illustrator of several children's books including the classic "Mama Do You Love Me?" Join us for a collection of Barbara's original paintings, as well as personalization of prints, books, and calendars.

Gallery Walk is perhaps downtown Juneau's biggest event of the year! All the shops and galleries are open late for the traditional kick-off to the holiday season, with guest artists, snacks, socializing, and special events.
