Downtown Juneau hosts an art walk on the First Friday of each month. From 4:30-close on the First Friday, visit the shops and galleries of Downtown Juneau. Snacks, socializing, and meeting artists in person highlight these evenings.

Weekly for the rest of the year: 35th Anniversary drawings
First Friday in August was the beginning of our weekly 35th Anniversary drawing! Each week for the rest of the year we will be giving away a $35 gift certificate in honor of our 35 years in the 'art' of downtown Juneau. In store only, and you have to re-enter each week to be eligible for that week's drawing. So make checking out what's new at Annie's part of your weekly routine for the rest of the year and hopefully win a gift certificate too!
First Friday, September 3, 2010: Karen Beason
We have scheduled Juneau artist Karen Beason for the September First Friday art opening. Karen makes beautiful paper mache fish sculptures and block prints using handmade papers. Plus hanging fabric fish, peace ravens, and mixed media artworks. With so many neat artworks, there is something for everyone from Karen Beason!
The show will take place from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 3.

First Friday, October 1, 2010: Alice Tersteeg Fundraiser
October's First Friday event will be a fundraiser devoted to Alice Tersteeg. Many Juneauites know that Alice has been a huge part of the Juneau arts community for many years, including as chair of the art department at the University of Alaska Southeast. Her husband recently passed away and Alice has some huge medical bills that remain from his final months. We will be showing a variety of artwork from Alice and also from other artists and our personal collection that are donated, and all proceeds from these pieces will go straight to helping Alice with her bills.
The show will take place from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 1.

First Friday, November 5, 2010: Alice Tersteeg & 35th Anniversary Party
Alice Tersteeg will return to Annie Kaill's as our November guest artist. Alice's exhibit will be a retrospective of her work from over the years. Alice is a well-known Juneau artist and former chair of the art department at the University of Alaska - Southeast.
The show will take place from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 5.

First Friday, December 3, 2010: GALLERY WALK!
One of the biggest events of the year for Downtown Juneau, Gallery Walk is the traditional kick-off of the holiday shopping season. All the shops and galleries will stay open late, with guest artists, snacks, giveaways, and socializing.
As usual Annie Kaill's will have several guest artists on hand and we plan to live up to our reputation as a must-visit Gallery Walk destination. Once we get closer to the event we will announce some specifics.
The event will take place from 4:30 pm to close (typically around 9 or so) on Friday, December 3. Gallery Walk will continue on Saturday, December 4 with leftover cookies and guest artist availability.
