Carlie Beads is contemporary styled jewelry using the natural colors of semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls mixed with the many colors of Czechoslovakian glass beads. All the stone beads are of the best quality and the Czechs have been world renowned for making the finest glass beads for centuries.
Carlie Ferland lives with husband, Mario, and their children in Haines Alaska. Mario makes the racks for display and Carlie makes the jewelry in their cabin in the woods, overlooking the Chilkat River and the Chilkat Mountains. Carlie finds inspiration from nature's colors - the forest floor, trees, and skies.
"I wanted to be in those colors, to wear them. Refreshing myself with a hike on the mountain, I return with new color combinations to add to the variety of earrings and necklaces".
