“Good Friends...
...and Good Food...
Always Mean Good Times!”
![]()
Nationally known clay artists Kent and Libby Follette create pottery to make life a celebration. They feel they are the luckiest people in the world because they get to make pottery all day long. The Follette motto is "Good friends and good food always mean good times."
Kent's credentials include a BFA and MFA degree in pottery and time heading the ceramics departments of two universities. Eventually, Kent discovered that teaching pottery did not allow time for creating pottery. It was time to make a life-changing decision. Kent & Libby's lifelong dream of being full time potters came to realization when, in 1980,
Kent and Libby found 12 beautiful, wooded acres five miles outside of town, cleared some land and built the original pottery studio. Libby worked in her family business as an interior designer and Kent began making pottery. In 1994, Libby joined Kent full time making their life journey hand in hand.
What started as a dream has turned into a wonderful life. The Follettes enjoy owning one of the most picturesque properties around, where they have built a beautiful home and studio. A short walk across a foot bridge each morning brings them to the studio where they spend their days creating Follette Pottery. Spring water flows from the ground and wildlife is everywhere. This ideal setting is where life revolves around good cooking, good friends and making wonderful pottery for people to use in their life.
Follette Pottery is one of our most popular lines of stoneware, known for its durability and versatility. Follette Pottery is available in four color combinations: blue/ivory, ivory/green, red/green, and purple/green (See our page of Color Choices for examples of each).
In addition to their own pottery, the Follettes are also partners in producing our popular Flambeaux Pottery which features beautiful crystalline glazes.
