This is an original mezzotint, “Yumemirutamago” which means "Dreaming eggs" in Japanese.

Mezzotint is an intaglio printmaking technique. Yumi hand rocked the copper plate with a rocker (a metal tool with small teeth) to rough the plate with thousands of little dots. Then she scraped and burnished to make the image of 9 siblings (eggs) dreaming to emerge the outside the shell.
