This is a reproduction print of woodcut titled " gOtta Skijor ".
"Skijoring with a happy dog on the frozen river. A couple of river otters, moose, snowshoe hares, and gray jays in the woods, a red squirrel on the spruce tree, a flying squirrel in a hole on the birch tree, and ravens in the sky are watching/hearing as they slide on the frozen river. River otters slid on the river and left the belly track on the snow. Skijoring is a winter sport in which a dog (or dogs) assists a cross-country skier." - Yumi Kawaguchi.
For creating the original image, Yumi hand-carved the Baltic birch woodblock and hand printed with a baren, a traditional Japanese printmaking tool.
